Guidelines to ensure a safe, inclusive, and productive community meetup environment.
At DEV//CONNECT, we are dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, religion, or technology choices. We do not tolerate harassment of meetup participants in any form.
Expected Behavior
- Be welcoming, friendly, inclusive, and patient.
- Be respectful of differing viewpoints, technologies, and experience levels.
- Gracefully accept constructive criticism and design critique.
- Focus on what is best for the community and participants.
- Look out for one another and help make the space friendly.
Unacceptable Behavior
- Harassing, discriminatory, or exclusionary comments, jokes, and imagery.
- Personal attacks, insults, or derogatory remarks, particularly regarding technical capabilities or framework choices.
- Public or private harassment, threats, or stalking.
- Unwelcome physical contact or sexual attention.
- Sustained disruption of talks, panel sessions, or networking hours.
Reporting and Enforcement
If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact one of the community organizers immediately. Organizers can be identified by their special badges on site or by reaching out at the help desk. All reports will remain completely confidential.
